It currently runs via Stripe with the corresponding commission rates. I would be in favour of dividing the discussion into two parts: What commission am I willing to pay if I connect something and then what are connection options. The former is part of Coapp's business model, i.e. keeping monthly fees low and securing a second source of income by monetizing in this area. Everyone who rents out rooms with the appropriate key is happy to pay for it because it is a perfect solution. We are doing this for associations, so the discussion there is even stronger. But the question is just what is real ticketing worth to me and, as far as I know, there is no provider who does it completely without it. And of course there are plenty of event apps out there.

probably the best way to do this is to create a new community.
What might be interesting to explore is how to get events from another community into the bigger community to promote it (maybe through a zapier automation). So actually no new feature would be required to achieve a similar result
