With the custom fields, you as an admin have full control over which information is collected or displayed. For each field, you can choose the appropriate data type — from free text to multiple selections.
The following examples show how versatile user-defined fields can be used:
Text field: e.g. “favorite book” or “job description”
Number field: e.g. “number of employees” or “identification number”
Date field: e.g. “date of accession”
Yes/No field: e.g. “Newsletter subscribed”
Selection field: e.g. “Connect with” — investors, startups, coaches
Multiple choices: e.g. “interests” or “abilities”
This feature allows you to manage all member data in one central location — so you don't need separate CRMs, lists, and documents.
It also forms the basis for many new, powerful features that will be available to both admins and the community in the coming months.

Hey Maria, we think so too! We want to offer input fields for admins who can then decide which information they would like to request from their members. This can be links, email addresses, websites, phone numbers or similar.
